Twelve students are participating in the Dean Rusk International Law Center’s Global Governance Summer School, according to a May 7 announcement. Eleven of these participants are enrolled in the University of Georgia School of Law’s Juris Doctor program.
The summer school is focused on comparative environmental law and sustainability, providing students with academic credit while exposing them to international legal systems. The program operates in partnership with the Leuven Centre for Global Governance and includes site visits to organizations such as NATO, the European Council, the International Court of Justice, and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Additional visits will be made to various law firms, non-governmental organizations, international courts, and embassies.
