Twelve students are participating in the Dean Rusk International Law Center’s Global Governance Summer School, according to a May 7 announcement. Eleven of these participants are enrolled in the University of Georgia School of Law’s Juris Doctor program.

The summer school is focused on comparative environmental law and sustainability, providing students with academic credit while exposing them to international legal systems. The program operates in partnership with the Leuven Centre for Global Governance and includes site visits to organizations such as NATO, the European Council, the International Court of Justice, and the Permanent Court of Arbitration. Additional visits will be made to various law firms, non-governmental organizations, international courts, and embassies.

The University of Georgia School of Law supports experiential learning through 18 clinics and externships while promoting high graduate employment rates; it also excels in advocacy competitions with national and regional titles. The school maintains extensive resources at its Alexander Campbell King Law Library and serves a diverse student body with strong academic profiles. It has been ranked No. 22 by U.S. News & World Report and recognized for value by National Jurist, according to the official website.
