The Archbold Auxiliary is now accepting applications for its 2026 scholarship, which is aimed at high school seniors planning to pursue a career in the medical field. The annual Archbold Memorial Auxiliary Scholarship supports students enrolling in medical-related programs at colleges, universities, or technical schools.

Applicants are required to submit a transcript, three letters of reference, an acceptance letter from their chosen institution, and a one-page narrative outlining their career interests. Detailed application instructions are included with the application materials.

Students interested in applying can pick up an application at several locations: the Archbold Memorial Information Desk, Archbold Grady, Archbold Brooks, and Archbold Mitchell. For the first time this year, an online application option is available. Students using the online system must follow all submission instructions carefully to ensure their applications are complete.

Previous scholarship recipients are encouraged to reapply for consideration in 2026. All applications must be completed and returned by February 20, 2026.

“We encourage area students who want to pursue a degree in a medical-related field to apply for these scholarships,” said Sue Stephenson, chair of the Archbold Auxiliary Scholarship Committee. “Applicants for these scholarships will be interviewed by the Archbold Auxiliary Scholarship Committee, who will recommend students for scholarship consideration.”

Funding for the scholarships comes from sales at the Archbold Gift Shop and donations made in memory or honor of Auxiliary members.

Archbold Hospitals operates as a not-for-profit health system with its main campus in Thomasville, Georgia and additional regional sites. The organization provides services such as emergency care, heart treatment, cancer support, surgery, women’s health programs and rehabilitation through its network of hospitals and clinics across South Georgia and North Florida (official website, official website). As part of its commitment to community well-being, Archbold Hospitals also supports wellness programs and educational initiatives (official website).
