The Archbold Foundation will hold its annual Tree of Lights ceremony on December 9, 2025, at 6 p.m. on the front lawn of Archbold Memorial. The event, presented by TC Federal Bank, allows community members in South Georgia to honor or remember friends and loved ones through contributions that benefit Archbold Hospice.

Attendees can expect activities such as s’mores, hot chocolate, a performance by the South Georgia Ballet, and a visit from Santa Claus.

Vann Middleton, President of the Archbold Foundation, stated: “Our annual Tree of Lights event is a great way to kick off the holiday season. It’s a wonderful opportunity for us to gather and remember those loved ones who are no longer with us and to highlight the important work that Archbold Hospice does in our community. We are also grateful to have the generous support of our friends at TC Federal Bank, who have been the Presenting Sponsor of Tree of Lights since 2016.”

Greg Eiford, President and CEO of TC Federal Bank, added: “It’s an honor to partner with the Archbold Foundation to highlight the impact Archbold Hospice has on our community. Our staff thoroughly enjoys helping with the Tree of Lights every year.”

Community members may make gifts in memory or honor of loved ones throughout the holidays. Honorees and family members will receive a card acknowledging each donation made in their name. While a $20 donation per individual honored is suggested, contributions of any amount are accepted.

Each light on the tree at Archbold Memorial’s main entrance represents a gift made in someone’s honor or memory. Funds raised through this initiative support programs provided by Archbold Hospice for patients and families.

This year’s tree lighting will be dedicated to Nathaniel Abrams, a longtime board member at Archbold Memorial.

Middleton said: “Nathaniel Abrams was a well-known pillar in the Thomasville Community. He was a successful businessman and community leader who volunteered his wisdom and time as a valuable and beloved Trustee of Archbold Memorial for over 15 years. It is fitting and proper that we light the tree in memory of a man who meant so much to us and to so many in Thomasville.”
