Archbold Hospitals has announced an increase in pay rates for nursing staff at several of its facilities following a market review. The adjustment will affect registered nurses (RN), licensed practical nurses (LPN), and certified nursing assistants (CNA) at Archbold Living locations, as well as medical-surgical nursing roles at Archbold Memorial in Thomasville.

Amy Griffin, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Archbold, said, “Our goal is to ensure Archbold’s pay practices remain competitive, support retention of our valued team members, and strengthen our ability to staff safely and consistently. When our team feels supported in the critical work they do, it benefits everyone involved—patients, fellow team members, and our community as a whole.”

The organization stated that these changes are part of a broader effort to promote stability and teamwork across its system while reducing reliance on agency staffing. Adjusted rates will also apply to PRN positions throughout the network.

Darcy Craven, President and CEO of Archbold, commented, “We believe this investment in our team members is essential to delivering the high-quality care our patients and communities expect, while also creating a more sustainable work environment for everyone.”

In addition to increased pay rates, Archbold offers signing bonuses for new hires, recruitment incentives for employee referrals, and up to full tuition reimbursement for new nursing graduates. Programs such as the Nurse Extern Program and Nursing Residency Pathway provide hands-on training for students and recent graduates transitioning into clinical practice. These initiatives focus on clinical preparedness as well as leadership development and patient outcomes.

Archbold nurses receive additional benefits including retirement plans, low-cost prescriptions at employee pharmacies, comprehensive health coverage, and support for work-life balance. The organization has been certified by Great Place to Work based on employee feedback.

Archbold Hospitals operates as a not-for-profit health system with its main campus in Thomasville, Georgia. It provides services such as emergency care, cardiac treatment, cancer care, surgery options, women’s health programs, and rehabilitation across South Georgia and North Florida through its network of hospitals and clinics.
