The Atlanta Dream announced on April 19 its 2026 training camp roster, featuring a combination of returning players, new acquisitions, and recent draft picks as the team prepares for the upcoming season.

This announcement highlights the franchise’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its position in the Women’s National Basketball Association. The Dream has established itself as a key team in the league, according to the official website.

The roster includes core players Allisha Gray, Brionna Jones, Jordin Canada, Naz Hillmon, Rhyne Howard, and newly acquired two-time All-Star Angel Reese. These athletes are joined by returning contributors such as Te-Hina Paopao and Taylor Thierry. The group played an important role in Atlanta’s record-setting 2025 season with 30 wins and a .682 winning percentage.

New faces at training camp include WNBL MVP Isobel Borlase and three selections from the 2026 WNBA Draft: Madina Okot (No. 13), Indya Nivar (No. 28), and other invitees competing for spots on the opening day roster. Head Coach Karl Smesko returns for his second season aiming to build on last year’s progress with an emphasis on precision offense.

The Dream will open their regular season at home against defending champions Las Vegas Aces on May 17 at State Farm Arena. The team is also committed to supporting education through initiatives like backpack drives that supply school materials for students, according to the official website.

Established in 2008, Atlanta Dream serves the Southeast region as its only WNBA franchise and plays home games at Gateway Center Arena @ College Park while hosting five games this year at State Farm Arena. Ownership partners include Larry Gottesdiener, Suzanne Abair, and Renee Montgomery according to information provided by the official website. The organization focuses on empowering girls through basketball education, leadership development programs, and community initiatives.
