Atlanta United 2 announced on May 12 that it will play a friendly match against Apotheos FC on Wednesday, June 10, at Silverbacks Park in Atlanta.
The match is scheduled between Atlanta United 2’s home games against Chicago Fire FC II on June 6 and Chattanooga FC on June 13. This event gives both teams an opportunity to compete outside of their regular league schedules.
Apotheos FC was founded in 2021 as a member of the National Premier Soccer League. The club reached the NPSL National Final in 2023 and qualified for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2024 before joining USL League Two in 2025.
Atlanta United FC, which operates from Atlanta, Georgia, participates as a Major League Soccer team in the Eastern Conference and has achieved notable successes including winning the MLS Cup in 2018 as well as the U.S. Open Cup and Campeones Cup in 2019, according to the official website.
The upcoming friendly offers local fans another chance to see developing talent from both clubs ahead of important fixtures later that month.
