The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced that the bridge and approaches on Bass Road (CR 742) over the Norfolk Southern Railway in Bibb County will reopen to traffic on Saturday, August 23, 2024.
According to GDOT, contractors have completed work on the bridge and are preparing it for public use. The reopening is scheduled for Saturday, but officials note that dates may change due to weather or other factors. Motorists traveling through the area are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while passing through work zones.
