President Donald J. Trump has appointed Georgia State Senator Brandon Beach as the new Treasurer of the United States. Beach, who represents the 21st Senate District in Georgia and serves as the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism, expressed his gratitude for this significant opportunity.

“I have loved serving in the Georgia State Senate for the past 13 years, and it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to be a part of this esteemed institution,” said Beach. He acknowledged the impact of his tenure in the Senate and highlighted the honor of being appointed as Treasurer, noting, “Being appointed by President Donald J. Trump to serve as Treasurer of the United States is a life-changing opportunity, and I am deeply humbled and grateful for the trust placed in me.”

Beach emphasized the importance of fiscal responsibility and economic growth, aligning with President Trump’s vision for American prosperity. Throughout his career, Beach has held numerous leadership roles, including positions with the North Fulton Improvement District and the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority. He also contributed in areas such as Public-Private Partnerships and Land Development. His education includes an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University and an MBA from Centenary College.

This appointment marks a significant milestone, as Beach will be the first Georgian to hold the position of U.S. Treasurer. The role carries responsibilities such as overseeing the U.S. Mint and Fort Knox and acting as a liaison to the Federal Reserve. The Treasurer also serves as a senior advisor to the Treasury Secretary on community development issues.
