Senator Brandon Beach has announced his resignation from the Georgia State Senate after 13 years of service. This decision follows his appointment by President Donald J. Trump as the 46th Treasurer of the United States. His resignation is effective immediately as he transitions to his new role.

Beach, who represented Georgia’s 21st Senate District, is now the first Georgian to serve as U.S. Treasurer. In this capacity, he will oversee significant financial institutions such as the U.S. Mint and Fort Knox and act as a liaison to the Federal Reserve. Additionally, he will advise the Treasury Secretary on community development and economic infrastructure matters.

“This is a proud moment not just for my family, but the entire state of Georgia,” stated Sen. Beach. “Serving in the State Senate has been one of the greatest honors of my life, and I’m deeply thankful for the trust and support of my constituents and colleagues.” He emphasized his commitment to bringing Georgia values to Washington while working under President Trump’s administration.

Beach also highlighted his dedication to economic growth: “President Donald J. Trump has given me the opportunity of a lifetime to help rebuild and secure our economic future as U.S. Treasurer.” He expressed pride in joining what he describes as a conservative resurgence under Trump’s leadership.

During his tenure in Georgia’s legislature, Beach served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Economic Development and Tourism. He represented parts of Cherokee and Fulton County in his district responsibilities.
