Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education and a Master of Education in Instructional Technology from Georgia Southern University. She also holds both a Master of Education and Specialist of Education in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University.
Outside work, Scharfstein enjoys spending time with her family—her husband David and their three children—as well as reading, attending live music events, and following college football.
