University of Georgia graduate Olivier Cadet has been added to the Georgia Lady Bulldog basketball staff.
According to the Georgia Dogs website, Head Coach Katie Abrahamson-Henderson (also known as “ABE”) said that this past summer, Cadet ran the Synergy Sports Streaming Services Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) tournament across the country, stating he is willing to do anything for anyone on the staff and has a great future in women’s basketball.
“I am excited to welcome Olivier to our team,” Abrahamson-Henderson told the Georgia Dogs website. “Olivier has been a part of our staff the last three years. He has an unbelievable love for the game with an amazing work ethic. Our coaches, players and administrators love how great he is at multitasking.”
A Broward County, Florida native, Cadet started his first year at Florida Atlantic University as a practice player for the women’s basketball program. The following year, he transferred to the University of Central Florida, where he served on Coach ABE’s staff.
While at Central Florida, Cadet helped the Knights capture the American Athletic Conference regular season and tournament crowns, as well as the team’s highest-ever NCAA tournament seeding, all while on the way to becoming the team’s head manager in 2020 and serving in the post until 2022.
Cadet was also a member of the Knights team that went 26-4, including earning its first NCAA Tournament win. University of Central Florida entered the tournament on a 13-game winning streak, its longest in program history.
