Chattahoochee County School District announced on May 23 that all ChattCo offices will be closed on May 25 in observance of Memorial Day.

The closure is intended to honor and remember those who have served in the military and made the ultimate sacrifice. The district said, “This Memorial Day, we pause to Remember & Honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.”

All district offices will not be open during this period. Regular operations are expected to resume following the holiday.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday dedicated to commemorating U.S. military personnel who died while serving their country. The day is often marked by ceremonies, remembrances, and closures of public institutions.

The school district encourages everyone to take time during Memorial Day to reflect on the contributions of service members.
