City of Mableton Day returns to Georgia State Capitol for second year

State Representative Terry Cummings and State Senator Donzella James will organize the second annual City of Mableton Day at the Georgia State Capitol on February 2, 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from noon to 2 p.m. in room 216 of the Capitol building.

A breakfast will also be held earlier that day at 9 a.m. in room 125.

According to the announcement, “State Representative Terry Cummings (D-Mableton) and State Senator Donzella James (D-Atlanta) will host the second annual City of Mableton Day at the Capitol on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 12 – 2 p.m. in room 216 of the Georgia State Capitol.”

Both legislators represent districts in the Atlanta area and are leading this event to recognize Mableton’s presence at the state level.

Burns, a Republican who was elected to represent Georgia’s 159th House District in 2005 after Ray Holland, is another notable member of the Georgia House of Representatives.

The event will be held at the Georgia State Capitol located at 206 Washington Street, S.W., Atlanta.
