Clayton County Central Services announces Small Business Social for June 25, 2026

Clayton County Central Services announced on May 13 that it will host a Small Business Social on June 25, 2026. The event is scheduled to take place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Flint River Community Center, located at 153 Flint River Rd., Riverdale, Georgia.

The gathering aims to provide local business owners and community members with an opportunity to network and participate in an award ceremony. Organizers encourage attendees to RSVP for the event.

According to recent data about Clayton County schools, enrollment dropped by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year, and total enrollment was reported at 61,644 students according to the Georgia Department of Education. Black students made up the largest group within Clayton County schools at 68%, followed by Hispanic students at 24%. Multiracial students accounted for three percent of the student body, while white students represented two percent according to the Georgia Department of Education.

The event is part of ongoing efforts by Clayton County Central Services to foster connections among businesses and strengthen ties within the community.

Coast Guard Beach parking lot to open Memorial Day as construction continues

Glynn County will open Coast Guard Beach Park’s new parking lot on Memorial Day as part of ongoing renovations. While visitors can use the lot starting May 25th, other upgrades—including a lifeguard tower—will continue through early 2027.
