The Clayton County Juvenile Court announced on June 3 the launch of its new electronic filing system, designed to improve court operations and access to justice for attorneys, staff, and the public.

The JCATS E-Filing System was developed by Canyon Solutions Inc. and allows authorized users to submit legal documents electronically into the court’s case management system. According to the court, staff can review submissions quickly and have the ability to approve or reject filings. Approved documents may be signed and stamped electronically, with automatic attachment to juvenile case files. The system also sends email copies of all filings to attorneys involved in each case.

The court said this platform eliminates the need for physical document delivery, which often causes processing delays. Authorized individuals are now able to submit legal documents remotely. Staff maintain control over approval workflows so that procedural standards are met.

The Clayton County Juvenile Court is located at 9163 Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro, Georgia. For more information about services or the new electronic filing system, interested parties can contact the court at (770) 477-3270.

Enrollment at Clayton County schools dropped by 2.5% in the 2022-23 school year compared to the previous year; Black students made up 68% of enrollment during that period, while Hispanic students represented 24%, multiracial students comprised 3%, and White students accounted for 2%, according to the Georgia Department of Education.
