CommonSpirit Health earned a 3-star recognition in the VETS Indexes Employer Awards, according to a May 18 announcement. This marks the first year that CommonSpirit Health has applied for this award.

The VETS Indexes Employer Awards honor organizations that excel in hiring, retaining, promoting, and supporting veterans. Participants include public and private companies, nonprofits, colleges and universities, as well as government agencies.

In addition to the VETS Indexes recognition, CommonSpirit Health was named among Military Times Best For Vets (2025), Military.com Top 25 Veteran Employers (2025), and Forbes Best Employers for Veterans (2025 and 2024). The organization said these recognitions “highlight organizations creating workplaces where veterans and current military members can thrive and reflect our ministry’s commitment to honoring the service and valuing the expertise of our veterans, transitioning service members, Reserve and Guard members, and military spouses.”

Chi Memorial Hospital Georgia is part of the CommonSpirit Health system. The hospital includes three hospitals along with 65 care sites. It features hospitals, care sites, and freestanding outpatient imaging centers; it has also received recognition for its commitment to quality and patient safety from leading organizations. Chi Memorial Hospital Georgia aims to enhance lives through superior care and optimal patient results; Janelle Reilly serves as president of Chi Memorial Hospital Georgia according to the official website.

The broader significance of these awards reflects ongoing efforts by health systems like CommonSpirit Health to support veterans both within their workforce practices and in their wider communities.
