DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation will meet with DeKalb County CEO Lorraine Cochran Johnson on January 26, 2026. The meeting is scheduled for noon in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.
The purpose of the meeting is for CEO Cochran Johnson to discuss DeKalb County’s legislative priorities for 2026. Topics include intergovernmental coordination, policy needs that affect county operations, and opportunities for state and local leaders to collaborate. Legislators will have a chance to hear directly from the county’s chief executive and participate in discussions about issues important to residents.
The delegation is chaired by Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), with Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain) as vice chair and Long Tran (D-Dunwoody) as secretary. Inquiries about the event can be sent to long.tran@house.ga.gov.
Burns, a Republican, has represented Georgia’s 159th House District since his election in 2005, succeeding Ray Holland.
