The DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation has scheduled two meetings at the State Capitol with local government leaders. The first meeting will take place on February 2, 2026, at noon with the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta. A second meeting is set for February 9, 2026, also at noon and in the same location, with the DeKalb County Board of Education.
Delegation Chair Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), Vice Chair Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Secretary Long Tran (D-Dunwoody), and other members will attend both sessions. During the initial meeting, commissioners are expected to discuss legislative priorities for 2026, including coordination between different levels of government, policy issues affecting county operations, and ways to improve collaboration between state and local officials. Legislators will also have a chance to hear directly from county leaders about matters that affect residents.
For more information or questions regarding these meetings, inquiries can be sent to long.tran@house.ga.gov.
