Delta Air Lines announced on June 1 that it is accepting applications for its upcoming 2027 flight attendant hiring classes, with opportunities available for both English-speaking and bilingual candidates, also known as Language of Destination roles.
Rachel McCarthy, Vice President – IFS ATL Operations, Customer Experience, Hiring and Learning, said, “As we continue to strengthen our flight attendant team, we’re looking for individuals who are inspired by service, teamwork and connection. If you’re driven to create exceptional journeys and memories for our customers, we’d love to welcome you aboard.”
The airline outlined several requirements for applicants: they must be at least 21 years old at the time of application; have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent; be legally authorized to work in the United States; speak, read and write English fluently; and be willing to fly domestic and international routes—including overnights, weekends, holidays and irregular hours—to support Delta’s global network. Unsuccessful candidates may reapply after six months from disqualification when a new job requisition number is posted.
Delta Air Lines operates as a publicly traded company incorporated in Delaware under U.S. law. The airline utilizes a fleet comprising various aircraft models from manufacturers such as Airbus and Boeing to support its worldwide routes. It connects more than 350 destinations across the globe through scheduled passenger and cargo transport services on an extensive international network, according to the official website.
Delta states that it is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer offering reasonable accommodation during its application process for qualified individuals. Supporting medical or religious documentation will be required where applicable.
