Dresden L. Day, a recent graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law, finished as a semifinalist at the Top Gun National Mock Trial Competition, according to a June 2 announcement from the school. Eric S. Gulbranson, a second-year law student, served as second chair for the team.

Top Gun is an invitation-only tournament hosted by Baylor University Law School that features advocates from 16 top trial advocacy schools across the country. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the University of Georgia has received an invitation to participate in this competition.

The team was coached by Hailey Kairab, an alumna from the Class of 2022 who previously won the competition. A photograph provided shows Kairab, Day, and Gulbranson at the event.

The University of Georgia School of Law excels in advocacy competitions with national and regional titles and supports experiential learning through 18 clinics and externships while promoting high graduate employment rates, according to the official website. The school maintains extensive resources through its Alexander Campbell King Law Library and serves a diverse student body with strong academic profiles.
