FDA reports third lowest count of drug company inspections in Georgia for 2025

During 2025, the FDA inspected 19 drug companies in Georgia, conducting a total of 20 inspections, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

These inspections represented the third lowest frequency for any company type inspected by the FDA in Georgia, accounting for 6.5% of all inspections that year.

Among the Georgia-based drug companies inspected in 2025, Winder Laboratories, LLC received the highest number of citations from the FDA.

The FDA routinely inspects facilities across the nation to determine if the workplace and their products are compliant with FDA-regulated laws and regulations implemented to improve overall public health. Inspection results are then disclosed publicly.

According to its website, the FDA is a government agency that is primarily responsible for monitoring the production and distribution of human and animal drugs, biological products, medical supplies and tobacco products for safety and quality.
