Cedrick Demon Robinson, a 42-year-old former Army soldier from Oxford, Mississippi, has been sentenced to life in prison after being convicted of sexually abusing a child and attempting to produce child sexual abuse material. The sentencing took place on August 12, 2025, in the Southern District of Georgia.

Robinson was found guilty by a jury of Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child and Attempted Production of a Visual Depiction of a Minor Engaging in Sexually Explicit Conduct. U.S. District Court Chief Judge R. Stan Baker handed down the life sentence, along with an order for Robinson to pay a $50,000 fine and $10,200 in special assessments.

According to courtroom testimony, Robinson abused a nine-year-old child in December 2013 by fondling the child’s genitals. In 2017, he requested that another minor send him a sexually explicit photograph when that child was fifteen years old.

“Protecting children from those who would abuse them and seeking justice for sexual predators remains one of our District’s highest priorities,” said U.S. Attorney Heap. “We will continue to seek justice for those who would victimize our most vulnerable citizens.”

“This conviction represents a decisive step toward justice for the victims and underscores our unwavering commitment to safeguarding the vulnerable,” said Special Agent in Charge Ryan O’Connor, Department of the Army Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Stewart. “We’re proud of the collaborative efforts with the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of Georgia, whose partnership was instrumental in securing this outcome.”

The investigation was led by the Army Criminal Investigation Division at Fort Stewart. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Michael Z. Spitulnik and Darron J. Hubbard from the Southern District of Georgia.
