The Georgia Bureau of Investigation announced on May 18 that six people were arrested following a search warrant at a residence in Conyers, Rockdale County, Georgia. The arrests came after more than four months of investigation into a drug trafficking organization.
According to the GBI, the Metro Gang Task Force, Special Operations Unit, Georgia State Patrol, and Conyers Police Department participated in executing the search warrant on May 8. Authorities said they seized approximately 24 pounds of suspected marijuana, 41 grams of suspected Xanax, and six firearms during the operation.
The individuals arrested include Deshawn Davis (29) of Conyers; Kahlid Mathis (26), Cale Little (32), and Ratrez Brown (23), all from Eatonton; Kentavious Walker (29) from Dunwoody; and Dakhyah Bradley (24) from Dayton, Ohio. Davis, Mathis, Little, and Walker face charges including trafficking marijuana, possession with intent to distribute a Schedule IV controlled substance, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a dangerous weapon, theft by receiving a stolen firearm, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or first offender. Brown and Bradley face similar charges but do not have charges related to being felons or first offenders in possession.
The GBI said the investigation is active and ongoing. Additional charges may be filed as it continues.
