Joe Schulman, Communications Officer for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) in Northwest Georgia, will be available for media interviews and questions throughout the weekend. The interviews can be conducted via Zoom or at several locations along I-75, including the Brine Facility in Calhoun (exit 310), the salt barn (exit 285), or the GDOT District Six office (exit 296).

Schulman’s availability runs from Friday, January 23 through Sunday, January 25. To arrange an interview, interested parties are asked to call or text 770-359-9523 or email jschulman@dot.ga.gov.

Motorists traveling through work zones in the area are advised to expect delays, use caution, and reduce speed. Real-time updates on road work and traffic conditions can be accessed by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or downloading the Georgia 511 app.

According to GDOT, maintenance teams continue essential road and bridge repairs as well as construction oversight while following sanitary practices recommended by health agencies due to coronavirus concerns.
