The Georgia Department of Agriculture has announced that agricultural educators in the state can receive a free, one-year subscription to the Georgia Farmer’s & Consumer’s Market Bulletin. This initiative is supported by Georgia Grown and aims to provide ag teachers with more than five students enrolled access to the publication at no cost for one year.

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler J Harper said, “Agricultural education in Georgia is essential to ensure the continued success of our state’s #1 industry, and I’m proud to support the Georgia ag teachers who are shaping the next generation of farmers, ag leaders, and innovators by offering a free subscription to the Market Bulletin. Growing up, agricultural education provided me with great opportunities that I would not have otherwise had, and it continues to do so for thousands of Georgia students each year.”

Teachers interested in obtaining the free subscription must have at least five students in their classroom and submit an online request form by Friday, August 29th, 2025. The first complimentary issue will be sent out on September 17th, 2025. Subscriptions will be mailed directly to classrooms, and educators are asked to use their school-issued email addresses when applying.

The Market Bulletin has been published since 1917 and serves as a source of agricultural news and classifieds for subscribers across Georgia. Regular subscriptions cost $10 per year for 26 editions. More information about subscribing can be found at https://agr.georgia.gov/market-bulletin.
