The Georgia Department of Transportation announced on March 27 that there will be upcoming lane closures as part of the State Route 400 Express Lanes Project.

These lane closures are expected to impact drivers in the area and are scheduled to begin on Monday, March 30, and continue through Friday, April 3. The department said the SR 400 northbound entrance ramp from Northridge Road will have a daily shoulder closure from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day during this period. In addition, Holcomb Bridge Road northbound at the Market Boulevard intersection will experience nightly right lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Motorists are encouraged to check the SR 400 Express Lanes website for the latest updates regarding construction activities and traffic impacts. The Georgia Department of Transportation also advises drivers to get real-time information about work status and current traffic conditions by calling “511,” visiting www.511ga.org, or using the “Georgia 511” app.

According to the announcement, these measures aim to keep travelers informed and help them plan their routes during ongoing construction work related to the express lanes project.
