The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced a lane closure on I-75 in Bartow County for maintenance work. On Wednesday, June 11, weather permitting, GDOT maintenance crews will close the right southbound lane between mileposts 290 and 288 to resurface a portion of the lane. The closure is scheduled from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution while driving through the work zone. GDOT recommends reducing speed and staying informed about real-time traffic conditions by calling 511, visiting 511ga.org, or using the Georgia 511 app.

The maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges are continuing their essential work while adhering to sanitary practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from COVID-19.
