The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced a series of lane closures on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project. The closures will occur from Sunday, June 22 to Friday, June 27, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
On the southbound side, lanes will be closed in sections between Old Milton Parkway (mile marker 19) and SR 141 (mile marker 27). Closures will include single inside left-lane or outside right-lane along with corresponding shoulder closures. Specific areas affected are from Old Milton Parkway to Holcomb Bridge Road (MM 15), Holcomb Bridge Road to Abernathy Road (MM 8), and Abernathy Road to SR 141. Rolling closures involving single inside left-lane and shoulder, as well as single inside right-lane and shoulder, will also occur between Abernathy Road and SR 141.
For northbound traffic, similar closures are planned from Abernathy Road to Old Milton Parkway. This includes single inside left-lane or outside right-lane with corresponding shoulder closure at various points including from Abernathy Road to Holcomb Bridge Road and Holcomb Bridge Road to Old Milton Parkway.
Additionally, other locations such as Holcomb Bridge Road westbound exit ramps from Market Blvd (MM 66) to Dogwood Road (MM 68) will experience single outside right-lane and shoulder closures during the same time frame.
These measures are essential for advancing the construction work on the State Route 400 Express Lanes Project.
