The Georgia Department of Transportation announced temporary lane closures for the State Route 400 Express Lanes project, with work scheduled to take place between May 11 and May 15.
According to the announcement, contractors will close traffic lanes along a 16-mile section of State Route 400 from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority North Springs Station (Exit 5C) in Fulton County to approximately one mile north of McFarland Parkway (Exit 12) in Forsyth County. The closures are necessary to perform roadwork activities as part of the express lanes construction. All schedules are subject to change based on weather or other factors.
Nightly rolling left lane closures will occur southbound from Shiloh Road to North Springs MARTA Station and northbound from North Springs MARTA to Shiloh Road. These closures will take place each night from Monday, May 11 through Friday, May 15, between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while traveling through work zones. Updates on work schedules may occur due to weather or other factors. Travelers can check the SR 400 Express Lanes website for updates or obtain real-time information by calling “511,” visiting 511ga.org, or downloading the “Georgia 511” app.
