The Georgia Department of Transportation announced that temporary lane closures will take place as part of the State Route 400 Express Lanes project, which will add new express lanes in both directions along approximately 16 miles of SR 400 from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority North Springs Station (Exit 5C) in Fulton County to about one mile north of McFarland Parkway (Exit 12) in Forsyth County.

Weather permitting, contractors will implement nightly rolling left-lane closures on SR 400 southbound from Majors Road to the I-285 Interchange and on SR 400 northbound from the I-285 Interchange to Majors Road. These closures are scheduled from Monday, June 1 through Friday, June 5, between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Additionally, a right-lane closure is planned for Holcomb Bridge Road westbound from the SR 400 southbound off-ramp to Dogwood Road on Monday, June 1, between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed while traveling through work zones. The department notes that work schedules may change due to weather or other factors. Updates can be found on the SR 400 Express Lanes website. Real-time information about work status and traffic conditions is available by calling “511,” visiting the website at 511ga.org, or using the “Georgia 511” app.
