The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced planned lane closures for the Transform 285/400 project. The closures are scheduled to take place from May 15 through May 19, 2025, weather permitting. These closures are part of punch list activities being carried out by GDOT contractors.
The traffic impacts will occur on I-285 and SR 400. On Friday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., one right lane on I-285 westbound connecting lanes from Glenridge Drive to Roswell Road will be closed. A similar closure is planned for Monday, May 19, during the same hours.
Motorists should expect possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas due to these daytime lane closures. GDOT advises drivers to check the project web page frequently for updates and detour information marked in red text.
GDOT emphasizes that construction dates may change due to weather or other factors. Drivers are urged to reduce speed while traveling through work zones and remain vigilant for workers. Real-time information on work status and traffic conditions can be obtained by calling 511 or visiting http://www.511ga.org/.
