The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced upcoming lane closures on I-285 and SR 400 due to scheduled punch list activities. These closures are planned to occur from May 15 through May 19, 2025, contingent upon weather conditions.
Daytime lane closures will take place on Friday, May 16, and Monday, May 19, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. During these times, one right lane on I-285 westbound connecting lanes from Glenridge Drive to Roswell Road will be closed.
Motorists are advised that travel restrictions may lead to delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas. GDOT cautions drivers to reduce speed while traveling through work zones and remain vigilant for workers. For real-time updates on traffic conditions and work status, the public is encouraged to call 511 or visit the website http://www.511ga.org/. Alternatively, the Georgia 511 app can be downloaded for convenience.
GDOT emphasizes that construction dates may change due to weather or other unforeseen factors. The department assures that personal information provided by subscribers will not be sold or used for marketing purposes by third parties.
