The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced lane closures around Interstate 85 at State Route 42/North Druid Hills Road for scheduled construction activities. The closures, subject to weather conditions, will occur from March 28 through April 6, 2025.
Various closures have been scheduled:
– A daytime closure is set for Saturday, April 5, from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. This will affect one right lane on I-85 northbound Frontage Road between SR 42/North Druid Hills Road and Cliff Valley Way.
– Overnight closures will be in effect from Friday, March 28, 8 p.m. to Saturday, March 29, 6 a.m. During this time, one right lane on I-85 southbound Frontage Road at SR 42/North Druid Hills Road and one right lane on I-85 northbound off-ramp to SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound will be closed. Additional pacing and lane closures are planned on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road and adjacent roads.
– Further closures from Monday, March 31 to Saturday, April 5, from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., will impact one left lane on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road in both directions, with various lanes closed on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound.
Motorists should anticipate detours starting Thursday, March 28, including routes on Clairmont Road and I-85 Frontage Roads to access I-85 southbound.
