The Georgia Department of Transportation has announced two upcoming infrastructure projects in District 3, set for the July 2025 letting. In Henry County, a new roundabout will be built at the intersection of State Route 20, McGarity Road, and Lawrenceville Street. The project is expected to cost around $5.8 million and will be carried out by Vertical Earth Incorporated.
In Marion County, a resurfacing project will cover 16.4 miles of roadway from the Chattahoochee County line extending into the Schley County line. The work includes milling, inlay, and plant remix. This project has an estimated cost of $6.6 million and has been awarded to Scruggs Company.
