Traffic impacts are expected on I-85 and SR 42 from July 11 through July 20, 2025, due to overnight closures and detours. Various lanes on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road will be closed from Buford Highway to Briarcliff Road starting at 9 p.m. Additionally, one right lane on I-85 southbound from Clairmont Road to Lenox Road will also be affected.
Motorists traveling on SR 42/North Druid Hills Road eastbound or westbound to I-85 southbound should use the I-85 northbound Frontage Road and Clairmont Road for access. Those traveling from Corporate Drive to I-85 southbound are advised to use the same route.
From Monday, July 14 through Saturday, July 19, three right/left lanes on both I-85 northbound and southbound between Clairmont Road and Lenox Road will be closed nightly. Lanes on SR 42/North Druid Hills will also see various closures during this period.
Detour maps suggest alternative routes for motorists impacted by these closures. Motorists are urged to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce speed in work zones. Real-time traffic information is available via Georgia’s traffic services.
