Georgia DOT announces upcoming lane closures for State Route 400 Express Lanes Project

Lane closures are scheduled on State Route 400 as part of the ongoing Express Lanes Project, according to an advisory from the Georgia Department of Transportation. The closures will take place between Sunday, January 18, and Friday, January 23.

On SR 400 southbound, single right-lane and shoulder closures will occur nightly from SR 141 (mile marker 27) to Old Milton Parkway (mile marker 19), and from Old Milton Parkway to Holcomb Bridge Road (mile marker 15), between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Double left-lane and shoulder closures are also planned for these sections nightly from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Additionally, the exit ramp to Mansell Road will have a nightly single right-lane closure during the same period.

For northbound traffic, daily inside shoulder closures are set for the exit ramp to Mansell Road from Monday, January 19 through Friday, January 23, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Rolling closures will affect both the exit ramp to Holcomb Bridge Road westbound and the entrance ramp from Holcomb Bridge Road during daytime hours. Nightly lane and shoulder closures are scheduled on SR 400 northbound between Holcomb Bridge Road and Old Milton Parkway as well as between Old Milton Parkway and SR 141.

Cross streets in the area will also experience disruptions. Webb Bridge Road eastbound at SR 400 is set for nightly flagging operations while various locations including Colquitt Road, Mansell Road bus lane, Spalding Drive at Peachtree Dunwoody Road, Peachtree Dunwoody Road at Spalding Drive, and Old Wood Road at Holcomb Bridge Road will have nightly lane or shoulder closures.

The Georgia Department of Transportation encourages motorists traveling through these areas during affected times to remain alert for changing traffic patterns.
