Weather permitting, the Georgia Department of Transportation contractors will implement lane closures for punch list activities on I-285 and SR 400 from July 21 through July 26, 2025. These travel restrictions may result in possible delays, reduced speeds, and detours in some areas.

The schedule for overnight closures is as follows:

– Monday, July 21, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one left lane on SR 400 southbound CD lanes from Spalding Drive to Abernathy Road and one right lane on Peachtree Dunwoody Road at I-285 will be closed.

– Tuesday, July 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., one left lane on SR 400 southbound CD lanes from Spalding Drive to Abernathy Road will be closed.

For motorists traveling on SR 400 southbound to Abernathy Road during these times, it is advised to use Exit 5B Hammond Drive and SR 400 northbound to access Abernathy Road.

On Wednesday, July 23, Thursday, July 24, and Friday, July 25 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m., closures will continue with specific detours in place:

– For those traveling southbound on SR 400 towards Hammond Drive during these dates should use Exit 5 Abernathy Road and Mercedes-Benz Drive (which changes to Barfield Road) for access.

The exact construction dates are subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are urged to reduce their speed while passing through work zones and remain vigilant for workers. For real-time updates on work status and traffic conditions before heading out, individuals can call “511”, visit “http://www.511ga.org/“, or download the Georgia “511” app.
