The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has announced two new infrastructure projects in District 3 as part of its November 2025 letting. The first project involves signing improvements at various locations in Chattahoochee County, with an estimated cost of $771,000. Oxford Construction Co. has been awarded the contract for this work.

The second project focuses on signing, marking, and shoulder rehabilitation at multiple sites across Pulaski County. This phase is expected to cost $222,000 and the contract was awarded to Griffin Grading & Concrete, LLC.

According to GDOT, start dates for both contracts have not yet been established or scheduled.

GDOT oversees the planning, construction, and maintenance of Georgia’s state and federal highways. The department is also involved in bridge work, waterways, public transit, rail services, general aviation programs, as well as bike and pedestrian initiatives. In addition to these responsibilities, GDOT supports local governments with road maintenance efforts. The department employs nearly 4,000 people and emphasizes innovation, safety, sustainability, and mobility in its operations. Its stated vision is “to boost Georgia’s competitiveness through leadership.”
