In Brooks and Thomas counties, about 17 miles of State Route 33 will be resurfaced from north of SR 38 to the Colquitt County line under a $4.8 million contract, also set for completion in fall 2026.
Lee County will see about 1.4 miles of State Route 3 resurfaced from south of Robert B Lee Road to north of Jordan Road, with a contract value around $836,000 and an anticipated finish date in fall 2026.
Thomas County will have two bridges replaced on Palmer Road over Little Ochlocknee River and its overflow. This project carries an approximate cost of $6 million and is scheduled for completion in spring 2027.
“The Georgia Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe, seamless and sustainable transportation system that supports Georgia’s economy and is sensitive to both its citizens and its environment,” according to the department.
