Georgia DOT awards Pittman Construction $5.23M contract for I-20 resurfacing in Newton County

Pittman Construction Company has secured a $5.23 million contract from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to resurface a section of Interstate 20 in Newton County. The work will cover the stretch from the Newton/Rockdale County line to Exit 92 at Alcovy Road.

The project is expected to be completed by late December 2026, according to GDOT. However, an official start date for construction has not yet been announced.
