Georgia House bill by author Rep. Tarvin on Walker County school tax exemptions for seniors passes House and Senate

Newly passed bill authored by State Rep. Steve Tarvin aims to revise Walker County school district property tax exemptions for senior residents by adjusting age requirements and eligibility criteria, according to the Georgia State House.

Tarvin, a Republican, was elected to the Georgia State House in 2014 to represent the state’s 2nd House District, replacing previous state representative Jay Neal.

The bill was signed into law by Gov. Brian Kemp on Monday, May 11.
