State Representative Emory Dunahoo (R-Gillsville) will hold a press conference at the Georgia State Capitol on February 20, 2026, to announce House Bill 441, known as the Georgia Prenatal Equal Protection Act. He will be joined by pastors from across the state.
According to Rep. Dunahoo, “Georgia must be a state that applies equal justice under the law to every human being, including our preborn neighbors. House Bill 441 would be the decisive and resounding end to abortion in our state and ensure that no class of human beings is excluded from legal protection.”
The bill proposes extending homicide statutes to include unborn children at all stages from fertilization until birth. The press conference will feature remarks from Pastor Jeff Durbin, president of End Abortion Now; Pastor Wes Fuller, founder of Operation Gospel; Ricardo Davis, president of Georgia Right to Life; and other religious leaders.
Pastor Wes Fuller stated, “House Bill 441 is the only truly pro-life bill in the state of Georgia because its aim is to not regulate the murder of our preborn neighbors, but to abolish it. Even now HB 441 is threshing, separating those who are truly pro-life and those who are not and when it passes into law there will no longer be a protected class of killers here. There will be equal protection and justice for all people in Georgia and that is what Christ our King has commanded.”
The event will take place at 1 p.m. on Friday at the South Wing Steps of the capitol building located at 206 Washington Street S.W., Atlanta.
Burns has served as a Republican member of the Georgia State House since his election in 2005 for District 159.
