Georgia Senate Majority Leader Jason Anavitarte and House Majority Leader Chuck Efstration announced plans to pass an adjournment resolution that will formally set the legislative calendar for the 2026 Regular Session of the Georgia General Assembly. The announcement highlights a coordinated effort between both chambers to establish priorities and timelines before the session begins.
The resolution is described as a product of ongoing collaboration aimed at creating a clear schedule for lawmakers, staff, and constituents. According to Majority Leader Anavitarte, “This resolution reflects the kind of coordination and collaboration that Georgians expect from their legislative leaders. I want to personally thank Majority Leader Efstration for the time and effort he and his team put into this process. By working closely together from the outset, we’ve have laid out a clear, responsible roadmap for the 2026 session that allows us to focus on what matters most, passing sound policy for families and delivering results for all Georgians.”

Senator Jason Anavitarte represents Georgia’s 31st Senate District covering Polk County and part of Paulding County. Representative Chuck Efstration serves District 104 including parts of Barrow and Gwinnett counties; he was first elected in 2013 and currently chairs several committees.
