CJ Pearson, Co-Chair of the GOP Youth Advisory Council, said that Americans are moving past progressive cultural figures and trends, attributing this shift to President Trump. The statement was made on X.

“America IS OVER the woke nonsense,” said Pearson. “We’re over the Lizzos. We’re over the Dylan Mulvaneys. President Trump isn’t just Making America Great Again. He’s Making America HOT Again.”

Public attitudes toward progressive cultural trends and “woke” rhetoric have become sharply polarized in U.S. politics. Surveys indicate that some Americans view “woke” as a positive call for inclusion, while others use it pejoratively to criticize the left. This polarization is shaping how both parties address cultural issues, according to the Associated Press.

A 2023 Pew Research Center poll reveals that favorability for progressive figures like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders remains divided. The poll shows that 44% of Americans view Ocasio-Cortez favorably, while 46% hold a favorable view of Sanders, reflecting deep partisan divides.

Further data from Pew Research Center in 2024 indicates that Millennials and Gen Z are more likely than older generations to support progressive causes such as racial justice and LGBTQ rights. This highlights a strong generational divide in U.S. cultural attitudes.

Pearson is a conservative activist and commentator who leads the GOP Youth Advisory Council. He is known for his national advocacy on social media and regularly appears in media discussing youth engagement, as reported by Newsweek.
