Greg Cantrell said on May 1 that he aims to be a “go-giver” rather than a “go-getter,” a philosophy inspired by the book The Go-Giver and Gwinnett Chamber figure Judy Waters. He credits this mindset for shaping his business, Living Stone Properties, located in Lawrenceville, and for helping him build strong relationships across Gwinnett County and metro Atlanta. “My business is relationship-driven. About 99 percent of my business comes from referrals,” Cantrell said.

Cantrell describes Living Stone Properties as a comprehensive real estate broker, working with both residential and commercial clients. He has been a licensed Realtor since 1992, holds a broker’s license, and is recognized as a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM). He also belongs to the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors and the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors.

His interest in real estate began early due to his parents’ frequent visits to homes despite never moving themselves. One experience that stood out was visiting land with his father that later increased in value even without development. This sparked his long-term interest in the field.

After launching Living Stone Properties when his previous brokerage closed unexpectedly, Cantrell led the company through challenging years while maintaining its focus on building relationships first. His involvement with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce has played an important role in this success. “The relationships I’ve built through the Chamber have been key for my business,” he said.

The Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce supports diverse small businesses and serves one of the nation’s most diverse counties according to its official website. It was named Chamber of the Year in 2023 according to its official website and represents over 2,100 member businesses as noted on its official website. The organization seeks to promote business growth, unite leaders, nurture an inclusive economy according to its official website, hosts more than 220 events annually for networking opportunities according to its official website, and operates within Gwinnett County’s highly diverse community according to its official website.

Beyond professional activities, Cantrell participates actively in community organizations such as Rotary Club of Gwinnett, Atlanta Regional Commission Board, Northside Gwinnett Hospital Foundation Board, Lawrenceville Kiwanis Club, and Downtown Development Authority of Lawrenceville. Outside work commitments are centered around family life: “I spend my time doing whatever my four kids are doing,” he said.
