Senator Greg Dolezal has been recognized as one of the most effective legislators in the Georgia General Assembly for the 2023-2024 Legislative Biennium. The evaluation was conducted by the Center for Legislative Accountability (CLA), which assigned him an effectiveness score of 2.09, surpassing the legislative average of 1.0.
“I’m honored to be recognized as one of the most effective legislators in the Georgia Senate during the 2023-2024 Biennium,” stated Sen. Dolezal. He credited this recognition to “the hard work my colleagues and I put into advancing policies that reflect the values and priorities of Georgia families.” He highlighted his pride in passing Senate Bill 233, known as the Georgia Promise Scholarship Act, designed to offer parents more educational choices and improve children’s chances for success irrespective of their location.
In addition to SB 233, Sen. Dolezal also mentioned other legislation he championed that reached final passage: SB 1, SB 26, SB 204, SB 353, and SB 430. Looking ahead, he expressed his intention “to continue this progress and pass meaningful legislation during the 2025-2026 Biennium.”
The CLA’s annual report evaluates state lawmakers based on indicators such as their ability to sponsor bills, advance them through legislative processes, and ultimately pass them into law.
