The Hall County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of Fredy Nava Espinoza, 36, from Flowery Branch, on a felony charge of aggravated child molestation involving a juvenile victim. This announcement was made in a public statement.
According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, the investigation began in May 2025 after a relative of the juvenile victim reported concerns about potential abuse. Investigators determined that the assaults occurred on multiple occasions between February 2020 and January 2022 when the victim was under the age of 16. AccessWDUN reports that Espinoza and the victim were known to each other, which investigators considered an important factor in the case.
Espinoza was arrested at his Flowery Branch home on Sunday, August 3, 2025, following months of investigation into the reported abuse. Now Habersham states that deputies took him into custody without incident and transported him to the Hall County Jail. Espinoza was booked on one felony charge of aggravated child molestation, which carries severe penalties under Georgia law.
At the time of the announcement, Espinoza remained in the Hall County Jail with no bond set by the court. The sheriff’s office reported that its findings indicated “multiple occasions” of abuse over a two-year period, underscoring the seriousness of the case. WSB-TV Atlanta notes that Georgia law mandates a minimum sentence of 25 years in prison without parole for aggravated child molestation convictions, with the possibility of life imprisonment.
