As part of the ongoing 16@95 Improvement Projects, enhancements have been made to improve access from I-16 eastbound to I-516. These upgrades aim to enhance safety and efficiency in the corridor. The access ramps from I-16 eastbound to both I-516 eastbound and westbound have been reconstructed. These changes are intended to create smoother transitions for drivers between the two interstates.

In addition, the I-16 eastbound bridge over I-516 is being widened. This work is necessary to accommodate new traffic patterns and improve connectivity to I-516 westbound. Motorists on I-16 eastbound will encounter a new traffic configuration. Traffic will now use a common exit leading to dedicated, barrier-separated lanes for access to both Exit 164A and 164B.

The right lane of the access lanes will provide entry to Exit 164A for I-516 eastbound, while the left lane will lead to Exit 164B for I-516 westbound.
