Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) maintenance crews are scheduled to close the I-75 southbound exit 315 ramp in Gordon County for maintenance work. The closure is set for Thursday, September 11, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling in the area should be prepared for delays and are urged to use caution near the work zone. Drivers are also advised to watch for workers on or near the roadway.

“Motorists are advised to expect delays, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones. Before heading out, get real-time information on work status and traffic conditions. Call 511, visit 511ga.org, or download the Georgia 511 app. Our maintenance team members who repair roads and bridges and our project teams who oversee construction projects are continuing their essential work, while following sanitary work practices prescribed by health agencies to protect themselves and the public from the coronavirus, as are most state DOTs in the U.S.”

GDOT recommends that travelers check real-time updates on roadwork and traffic before starting their trips using resources such as 511ga.org or by calling 511.

The department continues to follow health guidelines during all ongoing maintenance operations.
