IHG Hotels & Resorts announced on June 3 a two-hotel agreement in Vietnam with real estate developer Meraki Land. The deal includes the signing of Regent Ho Tram and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong, expanding IHG’s presence in the country’s luxury and premium hotel segments.

Regent Ho Tram, a 220-key luxury beachfront resort, is scheduled to open in 2032 on a private stretch of Ho Tram beach. The property will feature suites, Skyvilla Suites with private pools, and villas, as well as restaurants and wellness facilities. It will also include 95 Regent-branded residences. Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong is set to open in 2029 within a mixed-use development at the heart of Binh Duong province, approximately one hour from central Ho Chi Minh City. The 221-key hotel will offer three restaurants, fitness facilities, a swimming pool, and more than 1,000 square metres of meeting space.

Vivek Bhalla, Managing Director for South East Asia & Korea at IHG, said: “Since opening our first hotel in Vietnam in 2007, we’ve built a strong reputation in the country and today are the market leader in luxury, as well as the largest operator of resort branded residences. Working alongside partners such as Meraki Land, we continue to open brand-defining hotels that combine thoughtful design with exceptional craftsmanship.”

Bhalla also said: “Regent Ho Tram will become IHG’s second Regent hotel in Vietnam… Together these hotels will help put Ho Tram firmly on the world map.” He added that Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong reflects IHG’s commitment to expanding into high-growth urban markets across Vietnam.

Nguyen Thai Dong Huong, CEO of Meraki Land, said: “This two‑hotel agreement marks an important milestone in our partnership with IHG… Over time this partnership has been defined by a shared vision… We are confident that both Regent Ho Tram and Crowne Plaza Saigon Binh Duong will set new benchmarks… reflecting our shared dedication to excellence…”

According to IHG’s announcement, it currently operates 24 hotels across Vietnam with another 19 properties under development.
